The Metal Square Tile Trim 8mm Brushed Effect 2500mm is a versatile profile designed to provide a luxurious finish to any edge. Unlike standard straight edge or L angle aluminium profiles, this trim can be used as an edge trim on vertical wall tiles, horizontal floor tiles, or even as a feature strip in wall or floor applications. Measuring 8mm in height and 2500mm in length, this extruded aluminium profile offers a sophisticated and professional look, complete with internal and external corner pieces to eliminate sharp edges.

Ideal Selection: Metal Square Tile Trim 8mm Brushed Effect 2500mm

Installing the Metal Square Tile Trim is straightforward. First, ensure the surface is smooth, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose paint. Apply tile adhesive over the area that forms the perimeter of the tiled covering. Press the perforated anchoring leg of the profile into the tile adhesive and align it, using mechanical fixings if necessary. Trowel additional adhesive over the perforated anchoring leg to ensure complete coverage. Solidly embed the tiles so that the tiled surface is flush with the top of the profile, ensuring the profile is not higher than the tiled surface. Finally, fill the joint completely with grout.

The Elegance of Brushed Effect

Maintaining the Metal Square Tile Trim is straightforward. Although it does not require special maintenance, oxidation films on aluminium can be removed with a common polishing agent, though they may reoccur. Damaged anodised finishes can only be repaired by recoating. Aluminium should be tested for suitability in environments with potential chemical exposure. To prevent corrosion, promptly remove any adhesive or grout residue from visible surfaces and ensure the profile is fully embedded in the setting material to avoid the accumulation of alkaline water. The anodised layer retains a uniform appearance during normal use but is susceptible to scratching and wear, so setting materials should be removed immediately.
